Have you heard of Nora Fleming? I hadn’t either until a friend of mine shared with me that she’d be bringing in the line at her independent retail store, the Basketree, in downtown Mt. Pleasant.
Nora Fleming is a line of serve-ware that was designed to make entertaining easy. Thanks to the interchangeable minis, each platter can be stylized for any occasion. From a football viewing party to an Easter brunch, you can accent your one platter to fit each entertaining moment of your life.
Although entertaining may be synonymous with indulgent or decadent eating, it doesn’t have to be synonymous with “unhealthy”. In fact, eating well should be fun and enjoyable, making parties the perfect opportunity to eat nutritiously.
Not convinced to serve up nutritious eats on your Nora Fleming serve ware just yet? Here are three reasons you might want to change your position:
3 Reasons to Eat Healthy at a Party
- Prep is a breeze. Seriously, when nourishing foods are your go-to, ingredient lists tend to be short and assembly rather light. Need some inspiration? How about a cheese board with various fruits, nuts, and jams? Or how about fresh veggies paired with a simple Greek yogurt dip? Keeping it simple can be synonymous with delicious. And okay, desserts can be kept healthy and simple too! Take these 2 ingredient chocolate crunch bars from colleague Joy Bauer, RD on.
- No one every remembers the vegetables. Desserts tend to be the dish of choice at entertaining get-togethers. By relying on produce, you’re dish is sure to stand out and be original.
- You might just inspire someone at your event to eat well too. Think of this as a “dietitian juke” – everyone always claiming that healthy eating can’t be enjoyable. It’s boring, bland, and definitely no fun. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of proving someone wrong. Change plates, change minds, one healthy appetizer at a time.
For people who might be on the fence, they’ll be hard pressed to refuse anything served off the Nora Fleming line. Not only will they be mesmerized by the cute little mini charm on the plate, but the crisp white palate of each piece will make the colors of the food pop, making what’s offered super hard to resist.
All platters are dishwasher safe and microwavable, meaning that they are easy to use and easy to clean.
Want to see these platters in action? You can join me at the Basketree, March 15th between 5-7pm where I’ll be debuting a BRAND NEW recipe and sharing a few of my favorite food pairings and plating tips. I hope you’ll join me for a night of entertaining, shopping, and a whole lot of fun!
