Let’s be real. There are LOTS of snacks currently on the market. Although this is great from a variety standpoint, it can also make it difficult to know what kind of snacks are really worth your time. For me, I get excited when I see a company offering snacks with health in mind. This often means I not only get to enjoy something really tasty, but I get the added benefit of a few extra important nutrients too.
Turn your attention to Mazra Natural Snacks. Founded in Buffalo, New York on the belief that consumers deserve great taste, exceptional price and quality second to none, there philosophies are actually quiet simple to ours here at Around the Plate. Great taste? Check. Great price? Check. Great nutrition? Of course. In fact, the companies uses wholesome, honest to goodness ingredients. Tired of seeing synthetic man-made ingredients used in food products, Mazra committed itself to create healthy on-the-go snacks your body can appreciate.
So here’s what I love…
Each bar uniquely combines real-food ingredients for out-of-this-world flavor pairings. Coming just under 200 calories, each bar easily fits into a balanced diet. You’ll also find some fiber, protein, and fat in each bite – important for snacks to be satisfying! Although I kind of wish that each bar had a bit more protein and a little less sugar, we’re not overly concerned with it. Mostly because creating a snack bar that’s easy to grab and go, loaded with all sorts of deliciousness, and is GMO-, gluten-, soy-, and peanut-free is enough of a challenge in itself.
Of all the flavors, my personal favorite bar is the Cashew Pistachio Flax seed. The flavor is super unique and makes you keep coming back for more. The snack bars aren’t too chewy and have the right amount of sweetness to add to your day. Whether you need a quick pick me up during the day or are recovering after a workout, these bars could be a really enjoyable choice. Other bar flavors include Banana Maple Walnut and Mango Coconut Pecan.
I also tried (and loved!) the Apple Cinnamon Pecan Granola cereal Mazra has to offer. Its got great versatility with recommended uses including adding it to milk, topping yogurt, blending with protein shakes or mixing with baked goods. You’ll also find a few recipes on Mazra’s website as well. Other cereal options available are Chocolate Banana Hazelnut and Spiced Raisin Walnut.
I bet you could do even more with the granola and we want to reward you for sharing your ideas! One lucky reader will win TWO Mazra Snacks cereals to put their great ideas to good and tasty use! To enter, follow the directions below:
